Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An intricate Chardonnay from Leaning Post with their fifty series. First aged in barrel and then stainless tanks on lees for 9 months. A glistening pale lemon colour with elements of buttery, creamy baked apples and poached pears. Lightly smoked with dashes of gravel stone mineral. The oaky notes are subtle, adding to the soft creamy - yet crisp mouthfeel. Medium plus acidity, with a light body and a medium finish showing a smidge of white pepper spice at the back. Yum! A harmonious pairing for soft cheese, toasted crostini or garlic buttered prawns. 90 points
Leaning Post, The Fifty 2016 is a creamy, zesty, barrel-fermented Chardonnay with great backbone, buttercream, ripe stone fruit, toasty nut and smoky oak spice flavours on the palate. Great length and value on this dry, medium-plus-bodied Chardonnay. Chill and enjoy now with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
