This full-bodied southern French red wine is a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes. Ripe black fruit, smoke and dark spice on the nose and palate of this French red wine express the Rasteau terroir of the Rhone.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Plum, cherry, and spice on the nose. The palate is lovely - layers of cherry, blackberry, spice, strawberry, violet and pepper. The tannins are smooth and supple - most enjoyable!
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From the Rasteau region in the Southern Rhone valley this is a 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah. Really nice deep inky ruby colour. Medium intensity aromas of blackberry, raspberry, dark chocolate, and a touch of peppery spices. Equally balanced in the flavour profile with medium plus acidity and medium body and tannins. Refined flavours tart reflect some licorice and earthy notes nicely. An excellent pairing for filet mignon or stuffed portobello mushrooms. 88 points November 2017
