Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Blended from 65% Merlot and 35% Malbec. Aromas of dark cherry, blueberry and blackberry, oak, and smoke. Full bodied, with young, grippy tannins, medium acidity, and lots of ripe berry on the palate, along with a hint of anise, and a smoky hint on the finish. Enjoy with slow braised beef short ribs.
Winery Note - A blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Malbec. A red wine. Medium to full-bodied. Primary aromatics of red cherry, ripe plum, black berry, and black currant with secondary aromatics in the form of vanilla, clove, sweet tobacco and cocoa. The palate plays second-fiddle to the nose, with flavours of red cherry, ripened strawberries, blueberries, red currant, and cranberry dominating.

Suggested food pairing - Pork chops, stuffed with gouda, parsley and bacon, or charred chicken, with sweet potato and oranges harmoniously combine salt and acid to “fatten” the wine. Or basmati rice with bok choy and gammon, or chilli and lime glazed pork loin
