Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A wild fermented Red that is unfiltered, made by the fantastic winemaker Derek Barnett. Fragrant and complex on the nose with aromas of plum, blackberry, violet, dried eucalyptus, lavender, anise, as well as hints of leather and smoke. It is full-bodied with flavours of black cherry and tart plum, with coffee notes and smoke at the finish. Overall, a nice wine.

Tasted January 2019.

WINE-FOOD PAIRING: There is a nice acidity here that would pair well with a hearty baked pasta dish or with eggplant parmesan. It would also pair nicely with roasted duck breast in a truffle sauce.
Lori Sweet rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Petit Verdot is considered the fifth varietal of Bordeaux, hence the name. A full bodied dark red wine with dark fruit flavours reminds us of our trip to the Bordeaux region. Its vanilla oak and slightly peppery finish enhanced and complemented our pork loin dinner. A great wine for most occasions.

At the time of this writing, the wine is only available from the winery.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
