A gorgeously satin smooth, juicy, supple Old World Pinot Noir with just enough acidity for roast chicken or turkey. Aromas and flavours of fleshy ripe cherry, dried herbs, violets and earth. Absolutely wonderful!

Pinot Noir food pairings: roasted poultry, soft cheeses, smoke salmon.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

An earthy Pinot Noir with notes of cedar, sweet spice and strawberry jam. On the palate, it is tart with sour cherry flavours. It is a medium bodied wine with velvety tannins. Pair with roasted duck in a berry sauce. Tasted October 2017.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Joseph Drouhin Pinot Noir is light ruby color in the glass with inviting aromas cherry, raspberry and earth - the palate is well crafted with delicate flavors of tart cherry, raspberry, strawberry, floral, herbs and cedar - medium bodied with a lingering flavors of field strawberries and cherries.
From the Burgundy wine region, Joseph Drouhin Village (2014) Pinot Noir is from the Côte De Beaune wine region. This is an Old World Pinot Noir with tart cherry, plum spice and earthy flavours. Great value here on this well-balanced and structured wine. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
