Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Another fantastic Meritage blend from The House of Red in Niagara, Icellars Estate Winery. 40/30/30 Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc aged 12 months in French and American oak. Beautiful ripeness and remarkably easy drinking for a big red. Vanilla, baking spice, and graham cracker give way to ripe black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, plum, and blackcurrant, with subtle hints of menthol and eucalyptus in the background. Silky tannins, full body, and mouthwatering acidity. A stunner that has me gushing. Savour this treat with prime rib, wild game, or dark chocolate.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Made from a blend of handpicked Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, and Merlot, this Red has aromas of plum, baking spices, potpourri, smoke, and spearmint.

It is full bodied on the palate with dark fruit flavours, noticeable tannins and fresh acidity.

Tasted at the Taste Ontario event in April 2019.

Wine-Food Pairing: Grilled red meat.
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Powerhouse red!
Red berries, dark fruit, espresso, dark chocolate, hazelnut, plum, tobacco, eucalyptus - explosive full body on the palate with a lingering finish.
Dark chocolate (not too sweet!) or a meaty ragu will do!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
