Mouton Cadet Rosé 2018

Bordeaux, France

Kristin scored this wine: 94/100

Of course I want what I can't have in the LCBO. (Yet.) A beautiful, elegant, and sophisticated yet playful dry rosé bursting with loads of field berries and minerality sucked me right in to its vortex. Refreshing, aromatic, clean and lip-smackingly delicious! Pair with cheese and charcuterie boards, sweltering summer patio sessions with friends and family - poultry, pork, salmon are also ideal proteins. Don't be fooled, this wine can fly solo if it really wants to!

Mouton Cadet Blanc 2018

Lemony-snicket, rich, round mouthfeel, light to medium-bodied, slightly floral, steely, minerally and crisp all at the same time! Versatile, and perfect for summer! Fish, poultry, rich buttery seafoods would scream for this - but so would a punchy vinaigrette-based salad. Or creamy, tangy goat cheese. Either way, I'm IN!

Loveblock Orange Sauvignon Blanc 2018

"Won't you take me to, Funky-town!" Sweet spicy orange, clementine, apricot preserves- refreshing herbal and minerally finish. Medium plus body, ready for action with some fish, pork or poultry tacos!

Loveblock Pinot Gris 2018

Kristin scored this wine: 91/100

"Love me tender, love me sweet!" Stone fruit, juicy melon, aromatic orange blossom, minerals - full bodied, mouth-coating yet refreshing acidity to follow and cleanse the palate, finishing dry. Pair with pork, poultries (perhaps with peach chutney!) or on it's own in the afternoon sunshine.

Plush, velvety plum, cigar box, vanilla, coffee, cocoa beans, cinnamon, flint minerality - full bodied, soft tannins, warming alcohol. Like a hug for your mouth and soul!

Memorable Wine

St. Urbans-Hof 2007 Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Kabinett (I tasted it IN the Mosel :)

First Wine

Masi Campofiorin.

Unusual Wine Experience

A most gracious client buying an A.F. Gross 2002 Echeseaux for our staff at the old bottle shop on Granville Island in Vancouver :)

Current Fav Wine

I am polyamorous when it comes to wine. BUT I DO love my "cheap and cheerful" Segura Vidas Cava at the moment :)
