Reviews and Ratings

Gwen Barton rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Interesting blend of Chardonnay, Gewurtztraminer and Riesling. Refreshing notes of lemon- lime with minerality coming through (as it does with many Prince Edward County wines). On its own on a hot summer day would be just fine.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The Hardwood Estate Winery Windward White 2014 is a nice easy going blend. Lemon, minerality and sweet spice make up this wine. Worth a try! Tasted October 2016 (88/100)
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

An easy-to-drink white…
Presentation: Busy label, the concept seems a little obscure – we couldn’t figure out where the winery was located based on the description on the label
Appearance: Clear, pale, lemon colour
Nose: Clean, pronounced nose with notes of honey, lemon, apples, tomato vines
Taste: Dry, light to medium body, high acidity, low tannins, notes of lemon/grapefruit peel, green herbs
Finish: Short finish, with some citrus peel and mineral notes
Overall impression: An easy wine to drink on its own, though surprisingly lacking in complexity despite the number of varietals included in the wine.
Value: 3/5
