A robust, rustic Spanish red wine blend of Tempranillo and Syrah grapes. Great value. Aromas of black fruit and toasty oak. Pair with grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

If you like Tempranillo, you'll love this variation kicked up a notch with the addition of Syrah. Full-bodied, dry and smooth, with aromatic ripe raspberry, blackberry and cherry notes, made more exciting with the spicy pepper and juniper from the Syrah. Pair with lamb kebabs.

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Great value, old world charm at an accessible price point. Paired exceptionally well with an open faced braised beef gourmet sandwich. Black currant, raspberry, savoury herb, hint of pepper and light touch of baking spice. Balanced medium dusty tannins, medium acidity. Dry. Tasted 2015 in Nov 2017. 88 points.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
