Giesen 0% Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand is a crisp and vibrant alcohol free white made from de alcoholised Sauvignon Blanc that still captures the bright Marlborough style. It opens with lively aromas of lime, grapefruit, green apple and passionfruit, lifted by subtle herbal notes of fresh-cut grass and basil. The palate is light-bodied, zesty and refreshing, with tangy citrus, tropical fruit and a clean mineral edge that keeps everything bright and focused, finishing dry and refreshing at 0.0% alcohol. The structure comes from the original fully fermented wine before the alcohol is gently removed while preserving aroma and flavour compounds. Fascinating fact: Giesen uses spinning cone technology, which carefully separates alcohol from aroma and flavour elements, then recombines them to retain the signature Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc profile without alcohol. Serve it well-chilled.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: Turkey sandwiches, fish and chips, herbed chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a de-alcoholized Sauvignon Blanc, it is a bit more delicate than its traditional NZ Sauvignon Blanc cousins, but this is lovely and light, with hints of lemon and fresh green herbal hints. Enjoy with any summer salads, or white fish.
