Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A serious example of a Gamay. from Beaujolais It is concentrated and focused and has notes of smoked meat, salami and black cherry. The tannins are soft and ripe and the finish is long and elegant. Try with chicken and porcini pappardelle. @wrightwineblog
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely and versatile with a range of foods. Aromas of ripe strawberry, red cherry, black pepper, oaky smoke and hints of earthy underbrush. Medium bodied on the palate, with bright acidity, vibrant bright berry hints and earthy and peppery notes on the finish. Enjoy with pork, duck, or lamb, or hearty vegetable dishes.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A extra dry Beaujolais (100% Gamay grapes) that presents fresh red fruit aroma and dark cherry on the palate. Medium to high tannins with a clean woods finish. The dryness of this wine can be muted by some decanting and served with roasted red meats or stews.
From the Morgon, Beaujolais wine region, Gerard Brisson Les Charmes La Louve 2018 is a 100% Gamay red wine. Youthful with bright black cherry, fine herb and pepper spice flavours that linger on the palate. Tannins are velvety. Pair with duck confit. - Community Wine Reviews
