Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Clean and crisp with good weight and a textured mouthfeel. Some minerality on a fairly neutral but well balanced palate. This would make an elegant wine for 'ladies who lunch' on chicken and salad. Tasted January 2020 www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A light-bodied white Burgundy, Aligote is the grape and presents floral and some tropical notes in the aroma. Green apple and citrus on the palate with minerality. Medium viscosity would pair with seafood and white meats, and salads and mildly flavoured appetizers.
François Martenot 2018 Bourgogne Aligoté from the Burgundy wine region is great value under $16. Amazing acidity on this food-friendly wine with white floral, dried pineapple, citrus and mineral flavours on the palate. Pair it with all things seafood. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
