Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

So fragrant, juicy and fruity with great value! Who could ask for more? Ripe cherries, vanilla, leather and touch of cigar jump out of the glass on first whiff, then continue on the palate with herbal touches and well-integrated oak. Mouth-watering acidity and full-bodied, with a lingering vanilla fruit finish. An excellent example of the Ripasso technique of refermentation. At this price, buy more than one bottle.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What a luscious Ripasso de la Valpolicella! On the aromas and flavours, tons of black berry fruit and black plums, violets, black licorice and hints of baking spices. This medium+ bodied red does have some grippy tannins, balanced acidity and a long minted grape finish. Pair with chocolate or another glass.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, raspberry, black pepper, balsam, and cedar in the aroma of this wine, surprisingly complex given the price. The taste Is nearly as nice, with nice tannins added to the mix. I bit mild in the acidity, but quite nice for meat stews. A very well-priced wine.
