Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

This 100% Nerello Mascalese is showing off its volcanic roots with its flinty, spiciness on the nose and palate. Concentrated, with subtle fruit and savoury notes of olives and capers, the palate is fresh, silky and elegant. The finish is outstanding. Enjoy with mushroom lasagne, lamb or duck. Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Robust and intense, this wine has subtle fresh fig and cherry notes, along with more pronounced notes of raisin and dried currants, tomato leaf, and hints of flint and cigar box. Medium bodied, with vibrant acidity on the palate, rounded berry notes and a hint of tobacco spice on the finish. Enjoy with pan seared duck.
