Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A fruity young pleasant wine!
Great for a warm patio sipping sessions. Juicy light red fruit aroma. More red berries on the palate with low tannins. Pair with sun and friends! Would be nice for a new red wine drinker.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted May 9th, 2018. Colour bright purple. Legs thick. Aromas and flavours of dark fruit on vanilla wood, spicy, cherry. Taste, dry, medium plus mouthfeel, some mouthwatering, balance fruit and tannin. Finish short leaves some tea tannin in the mouth. Easy drinking good value table wine. Pair with hamburger. I had it with dark chicken spaghetti was ok but not wow. I would recommend this wine as a try.
Don Cristóbal 1492 2016 is fantastic value under $15 from Ugarteche, Luján De Cuyo in the Mendoza wine region. This is a medium-bodied easy drinking, made for the BBQ red and is a blend of Bonarda and Merlot with soft plummy flavours and easy tannins. A good match for meats on the grill and with a price that you can invite the whole neighbourhood over to enjoy with! - Community Wine Reviews
