Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A Burgundian style Pinot from the Niagara Region. Exceptional - but not surprising given winemaker Thomas Bachelder studied at CFPPA in Burgundy and makes wines there as well as Niagara and Oregon. Medium-high acidity with flavours of black currant and cherries. Enticing aromas of beet and red currant with an underlying earthiness. Wild ferment with 16-18 months in french oak (20-30% new). Well done Queylus! #tasteontario Tasted March 27, 2018
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A burgundy style Pinot Noir with cherry, earth and current notes that finishes with nice soft tannins. Tasted March 2018 at Taste Ontario Ottawa.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Taste of Ontario 2018 @ Ottawa - Beautiful bouquet, red fruits and cherry flavors. extremely round and approachable with soft acidity to give some body. Very well-made and can age for another 5 years

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
