Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Yummy cherry, milk chocolate, vanilla and sweet spice opening notes. Palate is satiny smooth and mouthwatering, with spicy cherry and chocolate, sous bois and vanilla; delicious from start to finish, a treat in a glass.
Tasted August 2018
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Ruby red with garnet hue. Zippy mouthwatering acidity, fine tannins, light bodied. Layered ripe cherry with a hint of raspberry and savoury. Pairs well with lamb kebabs, roast turkey dinner with all the fixings. Tasted 2017 vintage in August 2018. 90 points #goodvalue
De Bartoli G.S. 2017 Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley in Victoria with grapes sourced from the Brookland Vineyard. GS (for Gulf Station) 2017 is an intense, layered and silky Pinot Noir with fleshy and soft black cherry flavours balanced with great acidity. On the palate, the wine is satin on the mid-palate. Gulf Station is the original pastoral holding of the Bell family who settled in the Yarra Valley in 1864. The site of today's De Bortoli vineyard was known as "the summer paddock". Pair with a rack of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
