Natalie's Score: 88/100 Sour cherry, cranberry and beetroot in this edgy Niagara Pinot Noir from one of the region's better producers. Medium-bodied and smooth with lots of racy acidity on the palate that cries out for roast chicken or planked salmon.
Pinot Noir food pairings: roasted pork loin, tourtière, prime rib, roasted turkey.
Terrific Turkey Wine

Reviews and Ratings
Neil Phillips rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: The nose is abundant tart red berries, maybe a hint of mushroom: bit this is more fruit than earthy. Firm, higher acid, this is an aggressive Pinot Noir with wonderful flavours of tart cherries, under-ripe cranberry, mixed spices. Long on the finish. A great example of Ontario Pinot Noir, decidedly fruit-friendly. Tasted March 2016.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Classic Pinot nose featuring sour cherry, cranberry, beetroot, barnyard, leather, and earth. Palate abound with sour cherry, vanilla, and oak spice. High acid from the cool vintage paired with tannins with a touch of coarseness make this Pinot an excellent Old World style food wine. An obvious pairing for coq au vin, roasted chicken dishes, and planked salmon.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: Light ruby red, expresive nose of cherry, baking spice, bell pepper, cedar, and dried herbs. Tangy cherry and dried herbs on the finish. Enjoy with your favourite springtime BBQ fare or cranberry & rosemary pork roast. Great value Pinot at this price. 88+ points. Tasted January 2016. Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: Pale ruby garnet with delicate perfume and floral aromas amidst red berries and baking spices. Some earthiness shows up on the palate with sour cherry and pepper. Light-bodied, smooth with refreshing cool climate acidity. This Niagara Pinot Noir will compliment most lighter fare you are serving. Good value for Ontario Pinot Noir at $19. Tasted: January 2016
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review: Shows a nose of tart cheries, vanilla, and a palate giving cherries, baking spices, earth, vanilla. A bit harsh, med-bodied with a long spicy cherry finish with a touch of cough medicine.
The Pinot Noir grapes for this Niagara red wine are grown in the winery's Queenstown Road Vineyard. The 2014 vintage is the second Pinot Noir that Creekside has produced since 2008, resuming bottling of this varietal in 2013. The vines are planted on St. David's Bench, about 105-145 metres altitude. - Community Wine Reviews
