This Amarone is a little past peak with the fruit drying out, however there is still some life left. Pair with hearty meat dishes, such as roast beef and brisket.

Amarone Della Valpolicella food pairings: grilled steak, tortellini, rich tomato sauce and pasta.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Rich ripe delicious fruit and spice! Dried figs, dates, chocolate mocha, anise, cedar, a touch of fresh mint, and spice sums up this mob. It's a touch off dry with long lasting minty notes and cigar box on the finish. It's full bodied and glorious! Tasted Jan 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketastngs.ca
Produced by Tezza Flavio, Amarone is one of the best-known, and most-loved, of Italian red wines, especially when it comes to the robust style. Signature flavours include dark berries, smoke, mocha, espresso and spice though this one is past peak. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
