This Spanish sparking wine uses the traditional method of the second fermentation in the bottle, as they do in Champagne. The flavour profile is distinctly different and weird in a good way wit strange floral notes and lemon baking spice.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A dry Spanish sparkling wine made in the same traditional method as Champagne. Shows a fine mousse with a fresh apple nose. Bright green apple, citrus lemon and a touch of biscuit on the palate with a refreshing, crisp, long citrus zest finish.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous wine featuring fresh cut flowers, grapefruit pith, apple and candied lemon. Perfect with seafood or on its own. 89 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
The 2011 vintage of A Priori Brut is a Spanish sparkling wine blend of Macabeo, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Muscat grapes. The wine is matured in the bottle for 2 years in contact with its lees for 24 months for added depth and texture. This wine has seven grams of residual sugar, but is still dry and refreshing. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
