Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Taste of Ontario 2019 @ Ottawa: Medium ruby colour, dry, and medium plus acidity. Definite earthy and pepper aroma with bright red fruit. Tastes are of red fruit, earthiness, pepper accompanied by a pleasing tang. This would be very nice with braised beef and mushrooms; heavy on the mushrooms!
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Elegant and balanced, crafted from 100% PEC fruit. Shows lots of red plums, cherries, earth, with mocha, white pepper and characterisitic County minerality. Taught and well-structured, with excellent acidity. Look for it in Vintages in Sept. 2019
Tasted April 2019 @tasteontario
From Prince Edward County wine region, Closson Chase, Closson Chase Vineyard 2016 is medium-bodied, vibrant and smooth Pinot Noir. Although small, PEC is a popular and modern wine destination, all the more exciting because of variety of wines and excellent wineries. Closson Chase, is one of the region's premium producers and is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018. Keith Tyers has been the winemaker there since 2015 with a focus on terroir-based wines. This PN is a lovely one to have on its own or paired with rotisserie chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
