A spectacular Bordeaux red wine blend that's drinking well now though it could benefit from another few years in the cellar. The 2009 vintage was a terrific one and it shows in this wine. Aromas of fleshy ripe blackberry and black currant. Pair with a pepper steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Amazing value! Very pretty - Deep ruby colour with shiny garnet reflections and long, deep staining tears. An abundantly vibrant bouquet flaunting; strawberry, raspberry, dark plum, chocolate, smokey prunes and grilled red peppers. Flavours reveal cassis, red currants and a hint of cigar box and cherry chewing tobacco. High acidity, with a matching medium plus - full body and finish. The tannins are velvety and well integrated. Herbal tones carry on into the lasting finish. Perfect for Lamb chops and pork sausages. 91 points - tasted May 2018
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely deep color and aromas, Chateau Pierre de Montignac 2010, Cru Bourgeois, from Medoc, reveals dark skin plum, cherry, rose, fern, bay leaf and a touch of smoke and coconut. Full bodied with a lingering finish, the Chateau Pierre de Montignac 2010 shows refined aromas as well as taste, such as plum, cherry, lavender, fresh cut grass, a lovely note of aged leather, tree moss and a hint of oak. Well balanced, the silky tannins and clean acidity give this Cru Bourgeois a delightful experience of AOC from Medoc, Bordeaux. Enjoy.

Château Pierre De Montignac 2010 is a well-priced Cru Bourgeois red wine blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot from the Médoc in Bordeaux. This wine received 2 out of 3 stars in the 2014 edition of Le Guide Hachette des Vins. On the nose there are candied red fruits and smoky aromas. - Community Wine Reviews
