Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Leads with ripe red fruit and dark fruit, namely cherry, pomegranate, and blackberry, followed by up a pleasing violet note and some barrel accents. Fresh acidity and moderate tannins. A versatile red Bordeaux that offers outstanding value. Best suited to pork, game, and beef dishes.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This has a clean fresh nose with lifted mint and dried red fruit. Subtle fruit carries to the palate and through the finish. Mature tannins. Well integrated with a pleasant finish. Serve with grilled steak or short ribs. Excellent value. Tasted July 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A fresh and lively wine from Cotes de Bourg, Chateau Nodeau 2016 delivers aromas of red plum, red currant, menthol, graphite, allspice, dill and cedar. Medium-bodied with a lovely finish, the wine exposes polished tannins and supple acidity. Palate: tart plum, cherry, bay leaf, cocoa, incense and cedar. Enjoy.
From Côtes De Bourg, Château Nodeau 2016 is amazing value under $15. Produced from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, Look for ripe plum, dark berry, crushed raspberry, dried herbs and pepper spice flavours on this dry and flavoursome red wine from the Bordeaux wine region. Tannins are firm and there is vibrant acidity for food. Pair with grilled pork chops. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
