Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep purple with deep aromas of blackberry, blueberry, graphite, and smoke. The taste is juicy black fruit with high acidity a fine tannins. It has an almost liqueur-ish quality. for me, this is perfect for a charcuterie platter with lots of dried meats and hard cheeses.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

100% Tannat. Deep, dark and inky. Rich bouquet revealing dark fruit, earthy forest floor and touch of rubber. Ripe fruit on the palate with a hint of grass. Medium plus body, acidity, and finish with high tannins, gripping and pronounced tannins. Drink now but can age 5+ yrs. enjoy with lamb or beef roasts. 91 points - Tasted February 2017
You can find Château d’Aydie in the tiny town of Aydie, a few kilometres from the village of Madiran in southwest France. The Laplace family has been making wine here for three generations. - Community Wine Reviews
