Beautiful richness and mouth-coating texture in this lovely BC Viognier. Floral and elegant. Perfect for lightly spicy dishes.

Viognier food pairings: spot prawns, mild curries.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful light yellow wine with buttery aromas, tropical fruit, peach, a pleasant woodiness like pine, orange and green apple. This wine was fermented in concrete, which imparts no flavour and concentrates fruit flavour. The wine finishes with a delectable hint of residual sugar. Delicious!
Our very best wines are bottled as
Platinum. It’s our reminder that the
choices we make have to add up to one
better than gold. Some of our 2013
Platinum Viognier was fermented and
aged in a 660 litre concrete fermenter
we call “The Egg.” Because concrete is
porous, it acts like oak and allows the
wine to breathe, which concentrates
the flavours beautifully. Concrete is
neutral so imparts no flavour of its
own allowing the character of the
fruit to shine. The result? 765 cases of
honeysuckle and apricot-rich Viognier.
Without “The Egg”, our Viognier
wouldn’t be Platinum. And the results
show in every bottle. On that, you
have our word.
