A smooth, full-bodied Argentine with notes of fleshy sweet plums and blackberries. Supple with a good finish. Savoury Argentine red wine made from the classic Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Incredibly aromatic for Cabernet with aromas of black plums and smoke. Great value. Pair with grilled meats and steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great value at this price point! Love the Mendoza cabs and this is a great example. Sick of uber bold grippy cab? You might like this one it's got some juicy notes without being jammy. Smooth plums, vanilla on the nose. Its concentrated and full body but smooth too. Black fruit, smoke and and medium finish! Enjoyed it on a weeknight with some chips.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Consistently a great value. Aromas of black plum and currant, with some smoke and leather. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with bright balancing acidity and ripe fruit on the palate. Great balance and a medium length finish. Enjoy with grilled sausages or a marinated steak.
Catena Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic Argentinean Cab from Mendoza with concentrated flavours of ripe dark fruit, dark cherry, smooth with a smoky finish. Produced by Nicolás Catena with grapes sourced from several vineyards between 945 and 1,524 metres above sea level. Enjoy with steaks from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews
