Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Perfect expression of Spanish Grenache. This wine features high-toned red and black fruits, spice, and a kiss of wood. 89 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Luscious aromas of black cherry and plums, with cedar, spice, and earthiness. Outstanding legs on this wine, but the high alcohol is hidden nicely in the taste, which balances the bis dark fruit flavours with medium-high acidity and some fine tannins. A great wine for roasts, beef stew, or hard cheeses.
The 2011 vintage of the Spanish red wine El Molar is made from young vine Garnacha grapes planted in 2006. The whole clusters of the grapes or berries were fermented with natural yeasts. The wine was matured for 1 year in 500 litre foudres (large oak casks). There were 18,000 bottles produced in 2011, which is the second vintage for this wine. - Community Wine Reviews

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
