Mocha chocolate and espresso on the nose of this full-bodied Chilean red wine made from Carmenere grapes. Plush and smooth Carmenere, the country's signature red wine grape. From the Colchagua Valley. Aged 12 months in mostly American oak and 16% in French oak. Vinified in stainless steel. Purple plum and pepper aromas on the finish. Pair with spicy pasta sauce and hard cheeses.

Carmenère food pairings: rich tomato sauce and pasta dishes, hard cheeses, grilled pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This full bodied Chilean red is made from Carmenere grapes. Aromas and flavors of mocha, plum, black cherry, and coffee with a slight spiciness on the finish. Perfect with penne arrabbiata. Tasted January 2018.
Caliterra Tributo 2015 is a medium-plus bodied, single-vineyard Carmenere from the Colchagua Valley in Chile. Lots or dark ripe plum, mocha on the nose and on the palate, ripe dark berries, light herbs and savoury spice from this country's signature red wine grape. Drink now with a meaty lasagna and rich tomato sauce dish. - Community Wine Reviews
