Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From Puglia, Italy, this medium-bodied Primitivo has aromas of ripe dark fruit, which add to the perception of more sweetness on the palate. Medium tannins with a smooth finish that has notes of chocolate. Versatile, serve with meats like beef, veal, or grilled pork chops and hard cheeses.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Sit back and enjoy the dusty nose of dried fruit and hints of thyme. Medium bodied and unassuming but well balanced with nice fruit concentration. Easy drinking and good value to enjoy with pizza or grilled anything. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Trent Mayers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Need some sunny red to lift the spirits tonight? Here’s a big red from Puglia in Southern Italy. Lots of cooked black plum, prune, blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, licorice, and fennel melded with some alcoholic heat and ripe tannins. BBQ ribs should work nicely. 4 stars out of 5.
David Patterson rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

It was fizzy; is it bad?
Richard rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Of the 8 bottles purchased, 3 were “off” - fizzy. Returning them all. Don’t touch this wine, albeit the first bottle was nice - about 88.
From the Puglia wine region, Bollina Zenas 2018 Primitivo is a food-friendly, full-bodied red with ripe strawberry, blueberry, plum and dark chocolate flavours generous and mouth-filling on the palate. Pair with grilled long pork ribs. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
