Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

I love Gigondas for its full frontal approach. 60% Grenache gives this wine its juicy power and notes of cherry and berry, while the 40% Syrah adds black pepper, floral notes, musk and structure. Tannins are soft and ripe. Try with sticky asian beef ribs. @wrightwineblog
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lots of raspberry and an element of medicinal black cherry on the palate here. The tannins are fine but the alcohol dominates and challenges the finesse we have come to expect of a Gigondas. Serve with lamb or duck. Tasted October 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A Rhone blend of Grenache and Syrah, full-bodied with plum, red cherry and herbal aromas. Mineral with oak accents of soft spices and tobacco. Pair with red meats and strong cheeses.
From the Gigondas, Rhône wine region, Clos Du Bois De Menge 2017 is a robust, juicy and flavoursome red wine blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah with liqueur red cherry, red plum, savoury herb and spicy flavours on the palate. Enjoy with roast duck. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
