A dark horse wine with brooding aromas of black, tarry fruit and toasty oak on the nose. These major notes follow through on the palate and finish of this full-bodied, supple Californian Cabernet, along with some mocha and smoke. Pair with prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

Chris Coughlin - WSET level 3 grad rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

If you are looking for an in-your-face fruit bomb, this is it! Big ripe fruit flavours with the boozy warming of this Californian Beauty.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Bacberry, black cherry, plum, mushroom, graphite, and cedar aromas is a nice balance of fruit and barrel. The flavours are juice blck fruits and the tannin and acidity balnce it perfectly. An very nice red meat wine that also makes a perfect evening sipping wine.
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep purple color!

This Cabernet Sauvignon from Knight Valley (Sonoma Sub-Region) has aromas of eucalyptus, bleuberry, blackberry, floral, chocolat and mint.

The tannins are grippy, that's a full bodied wine and the finish is long.

Pair it with roasted duck brest with mushroom sauce and brandy.

Serve it at 15-17 degrees.

Can be aged up to 8-11 years.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Offer aromas of clove and a touch of bell pepper with blackberry, chocolate, vanilla and herb flavors.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

August 17, 2014: Deep ruby/purple, currant, berry, green herb and mineral notes along with light oak toast/spice. Currant, cherry, medicinal note and mineral. Full bodied and grippy tannins with good acidity. This should improve with short term cellaring of a few years and drink for another 5 past that. Try with lamb stew or grilled beef.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Vanilla, clove, and sweet dark berries. Full bodied with noticeable tannins, dark berries, pepper, leading to a long pepper and vanilla finish. Pair with BBQ ribs.
Tasted August 2014. 89 points. Matt Steeves - @QuercusVino
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

This wine has toasty oak, vanilla, cedar and smoky aromas accented by a pretty background of pink peppercorn, cocoa and mint. A full mouth of sweet, zesty and rich black fruit is supported by nice bright acidity and ripe tannins.

Ce vin présente des arômes de chene rôti, de vanille, de ccdre et de fumée complétés par un fond de poivre rose, de cacao et de menthe. Une sensation pleine en bouche de fruits sucrés, piquants et riches qui est appuyée par une acidité brillan
