A medium-bodied, smooth Pinot Noir from Belle Glos. Aromas of ripe cherry and berry, not sweet. Smooth and polished with racy acidity for grilled chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Another bold Pinot Noir from Belle Glos. On the nose, dark berry aromas along with cocoa, cedar, rose petals, and cinnamon. Full-bodied on the palate with smooth tannins. It has nice fresh acidity with tart plum and ripe blackberry flavours. The cedar notes seep through along with vanilla bean and black pepper at the finish. Pair with a roast or lean red meat.

Tasted at the California Wine Fair in Ottawa April 2019.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This silky smooth, highly quaffable Pinot Noir offers up ripe fruit flavours of black cherry and black plum along with some mushroom notes on the nose. On the heavier end of the Pinot Noir body scale it will pair nicely with short ribs or roast beef. Tasted October 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep purple colour, pronounced nose, dry, medium acidity and tannin with full body. This is a big Pinot Noir. Very definite blackberry aroma and tastes. A very pleasant sipper but not a typical Pinot Noir profile.
Produced by Joseph J. Wagner, Belle Glos 2015 is a big Pinot Noir. Fragrant with ripe cherry and red berries on the nose with very definite blackberry aroma and tastes. A very pleasant, medium-bodied sipper but not a typical Pinot Noir profile. - Community Wine Reviews
