Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A great value wine. Aromas of black currant, blackberry, earthy forest floor, eucalyptus, and leather. Full bodied with young, firm tannins, bright acidity, and ripe, black fruit on the palate. Some earthy and spicy, leathery notes on the finish. Enjoy with rustic lentil or mushroom dishes.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bel Ormeau Les Clos 2015 is a classic right bank wine that exposes agreable fruit aromas of black plum and black currant, as well as violet, cocoa, caramel and cedar. This Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux AOC wine has a medium body, polished tannin and a finish that shows supple herbs notes paired with dried fruit. Palate: plum, blueberry, eucalyptus, coffee, leather, allspice and cedar. Enjoy.
Bel Ormeau Les Clos 2015 is an oak-driven medium-plus-bodied red wine blend of 80% Merlot 10% Cabernet Franc with 5% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec from the Côtes De Bordeaux - Blaye, Bordeaux wine region. Still quite youthful, this stylish red is showing some black fruit and spicy flavours on the palate. Hold for another three years and you will be well-rewarded with a juicy, well-integrated red wine with good structure and acidity for food. - Community Wine Reviews
