A well-priced, classy Chianti Classico Riserva, produced from mostly the Sangiovese wine grape with a smattering of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Brilliant and mouth-watering with sour cherry, pink florals, fine herbs and dusty tannins. Pair with a meaty lasagne.

Chianti Classico food pairings: stuffed roasted turkey, steak topped pizza, pasta in tomato sauce, breaded veal cutlets.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Tuscany wine region, Barone Ricasoli Rocca Guicciarda 2017 Chianti Classico is a mouthful of ripe dark fruit, dried wild herbs, dark chocolate flavours, spicy, savoury and smooth on the palate. Pair with Italian sausage and meaty, tomato sauces. Produced from mostly Sangiovese wine grapes, with a smattering of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
