A classic and classy Chianti Classico from Barone Ricasoli with a mouthful of ripe dark fruit, dried wild herbs, dark chocolate flavours, spicy, savoury and smooth on the palate. Pair with game meats, Italian sausage and meaty, tomato sauces.

From the Tuscany wine region, Rocca Guicciarda 2016 is a well-priced Chianti Classico Riserva, produced from mostly this region's flagship grape, Sangiovese grapes, with a smattering of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vibrant and juicy with dark cherry, savoury herbs and amazing acidity for food finishing long with baking spice, dried herbs flavours on the palate. Decant two hours prior to pouring with a Bistecca or Nonna's meaty lasagne, or cellar for three years to bring out its best. - Community Wine Reviews
