Pedro Ximenez Solera is sweet with figgy, candied orange, toffee and vanilla flavours. Always great over ice cream, or pair with rich blue-veined cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Bodegas Alvear, a well renowned bodegas located in Andalucía, Spain, produces a magnificent fortified wine. Made from Pedro Ximenez grapes, the wine shows an opulent bouquet of prune, fig, caramel, honey, brown sugar and oak. Full-bodied, the 2015 vintage brings a silky and coating delight and will be amazing on vanilla ice cream or with cheese cake. Treat your palate with an endless finish of prune, fig, honey, brown sugar, molasse, saline and oak. Enjoy!
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The perfect way to end a meal. Aromas of roasted nuts, honey butter, sweet figs and raisins. Luscious, soft, and full bodied on the palate, flavours of rich, caramelized fruit, honey and caramel. Pair with a decadent cheese plate.
Pedro Ximenez De Añada Alvear 2015 375ml is just the right size to enjoy as a dessert or on a dessert. Dark amber in the glass with a pleasant caramel, toasted almond nose and sweet flavours of dried fruit, toffee rich on the palate. Pour over French vanilla ice cream. - Community Wine Reviews
