Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Black licorice, black Cherry, aged leather, savoury herb. A well balanced old world style South Oregon, estate produced Tempranillo at an accessible price point. Paired well with organic beluga lentil chili in a chocolate and tomato base. Tasted 2015 vintage decanted 2h in March 2019. 91 points
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black cherry, cedar, leather, dried herbs and black pepper. Full bodied with some smooth tannins with lots of black fruit, leather and spice on the palate and a lengthy finish. Enjoy with grilled pork tenderloin or a rich lentil stew.
Abacela Fiesta 2015 Tempranillo is a medium-plus-bodied, muscular 100% Tempranillo wine grapes sourced from Abacela’s Estate Fault Line Vineyards in the Umpqua Valley, Oregon. Bright garnet in the glass with ripe red cherry, plum and spicy aromas on the nose. This is a dry, silky, smooth wine with ripe black currant, mocha, cake spice and vanilla flavours on the palate finishing long with velvety tannins. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2018 Cascadia Wine Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
