Beronia Gran Reserva 2009, Rioja D.O.C.A., Spain: Beronia Gran Reserva 2009 is a full-bodied and elegant red blend of Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo from the Rioja wine region. The wine was aged three years in French oak barrels. Look for ripe black cherry, underbrush, anise and cake spice flavours on this juicy, spicy red. Rustenberg Chardonnay 2016, Stellenbosch W.O., South Africa: Rustenberg 2016 Chardonnay is great value under $20. This is a lovely, toasty, rich and vibrant Chardonnay from the Stellenbosch wine region and was aged in 40% new and 60% second-use oak barrels for a year. On the palate there is ripe yellow apple, cake bread, nut and lemon curd flavours with a touch of smoke, stony flintiness and balanced acidity. Drink now.
