Absolutely superb! Toasty, crisp and refreshing, this blanc de blancs (white wine made from white grapes) is 100% Chardonnay. Lots of minerality in this wine from Côte des Bar, Champagne, planted close to Burgundy's Chablis region. Great aperitif or companion to seafood.

Champagne food pairings: veal chops, Coquilles St. Jacques, raw oysters with a squeeze of lemon juice.

Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The classic royal blue label of this Champagne - reflects well on the style of the wine. 100% Chardonnay Champagne with a smooth, silky, and soft texture. This Champagne is elegant and well balanced with fruitiness and a slight lees contact flavours. From pear to granny smith apple notes, to squeezed lime; this wine expresses excellent minerality and crispiness. 92 points.
Château De Bligny is a non-vintage blanc de blancs Champagne. This champagne is produced from 100% Chardonnay from vineyards near the Chablis wine region. It is well-structured and chalky with lots of citrus and mineral flavours. Mousse is persistent, lively and finishes very crisp, pair with grilled shellfish. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
