Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A decadent blend of dried and cooked fruit aromas adorned with, fig, prune, cooked fruit, blueberry compote, chocolate, purple flowers, menthol and hints of eucalyptus. Flavours affirm, cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cassis bramble, toast, smoke and graphite minerals. Medium plus acidity with medium body tannins and finish. Well-balanced with plummy fruits. Try this with medium bodied cheeses, and grilled pork belly. 88 points - tasted May 2018
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux, on the right bank, Chateau La Brande 2015 reveals plum, dark cherry, rose and coconut. This merlot driven wine offers a full body with a medium finish. Chateau La Brande 2015 is a balanced wine for its young vintage. Some aging could only benefit the lovely expression of tannins and acidity. At the first sip, the fruity taste of plum and red cherry please the palate; leaf and coffee notes mixed with new oak complete this journey through the Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux terroir. Enjoy.

Château La Brande (2015) is a great value red under $20. from the Côtes De Bordeaux - Castillon wine region. Look for fresh red berry and cherry flavours on the palate wrapped up in a lingering spicy finish. - Community Wine Reviews
