I know we don't post reviews on future release on this website much. I visited Chateau Mouton Rothchild during my Bordeaux trip in October. They were generously enough to let us try the 16' barrel sample. Oh my, you would not guess this is a bordeaux wine. The fruits is lush and velvty, big and powerful. But it's not an oak monster like napa cab.

LCBO Grandi Marchi Italian Tasting @ Toronto - My favorite wine of the night, and I rated higher than Sassicaia 2013. Blackcurrant, leather, touch of vanilla and cream on the nose. Full body with smooth and long lingering tannin (15 sec finish)

A BIG, BIG, BIG wine. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the nose, american oak, stewed tomato, and cherry. Structure-wise, although it's 100% shirax, but it tastes like a bordeaux. Elegant structure, firm body, and long and long finish.

One of my all time favorites. Old world style with firm and elegant structure. Berry, green pepper, spices on the nose. Full palate and endless flavor when you swirl in your mouse. Strong tannin and a long long finish. The 13' is way better than the 12'. Glad to see Dunn Howell Mountain is back to the old Bordeaux style.
