Burgundy Pinot noir Domaine Ramonet 2010

Burgundy, Côte De Nuits, France
1997 days ago

Patrick scored this wine: 90/100

Shiny cherry red color. Intoxicating nose of red berries, sweet spices, earth and just a touch of oak, well integrated, all reflecting standard Pinot Noir characteristics. On the palate, flavors of fresh strawberries, cherries and cranberries along with spices, a light touch of oak just blend beautifully with the acidity and velvety sensation, charming in a way only Pinot can. Complex with a real depth. Clearly above its rank of entry level Burgundy wine...

Light gold color. Shy nose and palate from the start and a hour was needed to allow the wine to express itself. Then, sea breeze, salty minerality, lemon, fresh and pure. The acidity is just perfect, not too intense and just enough to make the wine really refreshing. May not be most dense Chablis around, but so young and tasty ! Should give some air to the wine and then, enjoy !

Morogues Menetou-Salon 2012

Centre Loire, France

Patrick scored this wine: 89/100

Pale straw color with green highlights. Citrus fruit and candied lemon on the nose, chalk, sea shells and fresh grass. On the palate, nicely round without being too acidic and the flavors are similar of those from the nose. Refreshing and pairs well with salad and grilled chicken, perfect summer wine !

Vieilles Vignes

Maison Roche De Bellene Vieilles Vignes 2011

Côte Du Nuits-Villages Burgundy A.C., France

Patrick scored this wine: 89/100

Clear ruby color. Spicy nose with aromas of flowers and red fruits. The fruity profile follows on the palate, not thin at all and lifted by the spices flavors that goes into a medium long finish with a nice grip. The acidity is just present enough to make the wine drinkable from now and the alcohol level of 12,5% makes it even better !

Clear cherry red color. Expressive nose of red berries, earth and spices. On the palate, flavor of freshly picked strawberries pops in then a light spicy side adds depth to the wine. With air, flavors of cherries and dust will also be feeled. Savoury and fresh wine. Alcohol level of 12,5%
