This was strawberry pie in a glass. Great ice wine!

20% of the Pinot Noir harvest was dried in tobacco kilns for 16 days. The drying process causes the colour of this Pinot to be a brownish ruby colour, almost like an aged wine. Nice aromas of cherries and cedar. With notes of light red fruit and spice pepper on the palate. Short lived length with dry tannin's. http://foureyedwineguy.blogspot.ca

Pale straw colour. Aromas of stone fruit (peaches and apricots) and minerality. Stone fruit continues on the palate with good acidity, but a ho-hum finish. 100% Chardonnay. http://foureyedwineguy.blogspot.ca/

Beautiful Brunello colour. Aromas of black licorice, rose pedals, tar, and sour cherries. These aromas opened up even more throughout dinner. Red fruit on the palate. Good balance of acidity and tannins. Very dry tannins! Needs food for this big wine. Enjoyable. http://foureyedwineguy.blogspot.ca/

Decanted 1hr: aromas of dark fruit, cinnamon spice, and bit of leather. Very well balanced, outstanding tannins & acidity. Went back to the wine after 3hr in decanter. What a change! Started to notice floral and dark chocolate notes. Great price for an older Napa Cab! http://foureyedwineguy.blogspot.ca/
