Natalie's Score: 93/100

Duckhorn 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a big, full-bodied, concentrated and plushy Cab with a dollop of Merlot and splashes of Cab Franc and Petit Verdot added to the mix. Elegant and rich on the palate with layers of cassis, dark cherry, spiced plum, pepper, mint, well-integrated toasty oak spice and smoky vanilla flavours. Simply delicious. If having tonight, decant it for two hours prior to pouring it with a prime rib roast or hold in cellar to 2030.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rib roast, roast chicken, roast breast of veal.

Reviews and Ratings

Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

CabSauv but with a bit of Merlot (12%).. Not a strong nose but delightful. Beautifully smooth on the palette with flavours of cherry, cedar and pepper. Pairs well with steak and mushrooms!

Currently on the Keg's wine list. If you ever want to try a $90 wine get a glass at the Keg for a bargain of $17 compared to others on their wine list that run the typical mark up.
