Reviews and Ratings

Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A fund blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc. Aromas and flavours of raspberry, plum, vanilla and spice. Full-bodied with smooth tannins and a long finish. Nice purple colour in the glass. Another great Ontario VQA wine. 13.5% alcohol. Great choice for pizza night! Nice classy label. Can be purchased directly on the winery’s website at $17.95: https://marynissen.com/shop/ols/products/2019-cabernet-merlot Also available at the LCBO (VINTAGES#: 16713). UPC: 09870 87892
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A great blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of currant and raspberry, with hints of vanilla and spice. Medium bodied with medium+ acidity, and lots of ripe berry hints on the palate. Subtle, balanced hints of graphite, spice, and smoke on the finish. Enjoy with grilled burgers or sausages.
Marynissen 2017 is a full-bodied and juicy Bordeaux-style red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from the Niagara Peninsula wine region and great value under $20. Earthy with ripe, dark plum and blackberry aromas on the nose, mouth-filling with ripe juicy dark cherry, plum, vanilla and toasty oak spice flavours on the palate. Pour with a venison bourgignon. - Community Wine Reviews
