Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Made from Xinomavro grapes, showing aromas of fresh melon, citrus and herbaceous notes, reflected on palate. Extra-dry, crisp and refreshing. A great summer wine with salads and grilled white fish, or savoury appetizers such as olives.
Tasted July 2016
The 2015 vintage of the Akakies Rosé is made from Xinomavro grapes and is complex, flavourful and dry. About 90% of the must has grape skin contact and 10% produced from the saignée method or gently bleeding off the juice from fermented red wine grapes. This is a terrific Greek Rosé. The vines are planted in the sandy soils of the mountainous Amindeo mountain range which overlooks the Amyndeon wine region. - Community Wine Reviews
