Produced in the traditional method as in making champagne with 100% Pinot Noir wine grapes that were hand-harvested. Look for ripe cherry, ripe red berry, flinty mineral flavours with a bright citrusy finish. Great palate cleanser in between dishes or pair with baked maple-smoked ham.

Sparkling Rosé food pairings: pasta, lightly spiced curry dishes, lamb stew, white turkey meat.

Reviews and Ratings

Jisun Hahn CAPS Certified Somm rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous traditional method sparkler, refreshing and bright on the palate. This wine would be a wonderful way to start a holiday party. Gentle brioche on the nose and fresh strawberries and bright lemon on the palate. Start the party with this wine while serving citrus marinated scallops or phyllo wrapped shrimp as appetizers.
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A delicious local offering from 2019 winemaker of the year: David Johnson. Only 114 cases made. 100% Pinot, this wine is the most beautiful salmon colour. The palate is full and rich with fresh red berries with a finish that smacks of fresh fruit salad with mint and basil. Try with smoked salmon blinis with creme fraiche and caviar. @wrightwineblog
Trent Mayers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, expect pure red cherry, strawberry, cranberry, and raspberry with a whiff of fresh bread and a lemony finish. This sparkler would make a fruity and fun aperitif or pair it with a Greek style meal featuring pork souvlaki. 3.5+ stars out of 5.
From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, Featherstone's Premium Cuvee Joy 2017 is made in the traditional method from 100% Pinot Noir wine grapes hand-harvested, whole-clustered pressed with the cuvée on its lees for 12 months prior to being disgorged. A medium-bodied bubble with a persistent creamy mousse with flavours of strawberry, raspberry, cherry that dance across the palate with a lingering soft mandarin and mineral finish crisp and clean. This winery is owned and operated by a husband/wife team , Louise Engel and David Johnson. Featherstone practices eco-friendly farming that is insecticide-free. - Community Wine Reviews
