Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Character and elegance - two words that perfectly describe this delicious wine. Made from Carmenere, a well known grape in Chile, the Cono Sur Block 28 Single Vineyard 2018 exposes aromas of pomegranate, black plum, white pepper, slate, sweet tobacco and sandalwood. Full-bodied with supple acidity, the wine exhibits well defined layers of tannins and a fruit finish. Palate: cherry, raspberry, green peppercorn, tree moss, caramel and sandalwood. Enjoy!
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black cherry, cocoa, and coffee, with a hint of spice. Full bodied, smooth on the palate, with lots of ripe, dark fruit on the palate. Enjoy with marinated grilled flank steak.
Cono Sur Block 28 2018 Carmenère is sourced from a single vineyard certified carbon neutral from La Rinconada estate in the Peumo zone of Cachapoal. Look for ripe, juicy blackberries, dark plums, licorice, mocha and black pepper spice flavours on the palate. The wine was matured 14 months in French oak barrels, 40% new. Enjoy with grilled game sausages. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
