Illusion makes its home in the hills above the Columbia River, 11 miles northeast of Lyle, Washington. The small winery and tasting room is open most summer weekends and holiday periods in 2010, allowing an opportunity for our faithful fans to relax and enjoy a growing family of Illusion wines. The winery and Dante's Ranch Vineyard offers sweeping views of Dillacort Canyon, Swale Canyon, Stacker Butte as well as Mount Adams, Mount Hood and a sliver of the Columbia River.
Illusion was founded in 2002 in Black Diamond, Washington, about 35 miles southeast of Seattle on the way to Mount Rainier. The site near Lyle allows an opportunity to visit the winery and toss a ball for Siena the winery dog.
With the January 2005 release of 2002 Apparition, a Bordeaux-style red table wine, the winery quickly established itself as one of Washington State's most exciting new boutique wineries. Illusion wines are available direct from the winery or from one of a select number of restaurants and wine retailers.
