Edmond Rentz Reserve Gewurztraminer 2008, A.C., Alsace, France: Vintages Wine Panel: Gewurztraminer absolutely thrives in the vineyards of Alsace. The terroir is exactly what this aromatic, intense grape needs to produce balanced, deeply delicious wines that are both great sippers and excellent food matchers. My note: Soooo very pretty! Floral, lychee and white peach: wow this is stunning! It may be an acquired taste, but once you acquire it, you’ll be happier. Full-bodied, unctuous (love suing that word) and beautifully textured. 141721 12.50% MD 750 mL $18.95 Score: 90/100. December 5, 2009 Full Review
